Payments & Pricing

  • Creating a shop: Free
  • Listing products: Free
  • Monthly fees: None
  • When you sell: 4% platform fee

You only pay when you make a sale. The 4% fee is automatically deducted from each transaction. Stripe also charges their standard payment processing fees (typically 2.9% + CHF 0.30 for cards).

Charities: Registered charities pay 0% platform fee – contact us for verification.

Customers can pay with:
  • TWINT – Switzerland's most popular mobile payment
  • Credit/Debit Cards – Visa, Mastercard, American Express
  • Apple Pay – One-tap checkout on Apple devices
  • Google Pay – One-tap checkout on Android
  • Klarna – Buy now, pay later
  • Link – Stripe's fast checkout

Payment methods are automatically shown based on customer location and device. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Payments go directly to your Stripe account:
  1. Connect Stripe – Click "Connect Stripe" in your dashboard
  2. Create or link account – Takes about 5 minutes
  3. Verify identity – Required by Swiss regulations
  4. Set payout schedule – Daily, weekly, or monthly

When a customer buys, money goes to your Stripe balance (minus fees). Stripe then transfers to your bank account on your chosen schedule. You never need to handle card data – Stripe manages everything securely.

After a successful sale:
  1. Immediate: Payment appears in your Stripe balance
  2. Fees deducted: 4% platform fee + Stripe processing fees
  3. Payout: Stripe transfers to your bank (usually 2-7 business days for new accounts, then based on your payout schedule)

You can view all transactions in your Stripe Dashboard. We never hold your funds – they go directly through Stripe.

  • Swiss Post – Most common for domestic
  • DHL – Good for heavier items
  • DPD – Competitive rates
  • Planzer – Swiss courier
  • Local pickup – Arrange with customer

Refunds are processed through Stripe:
  1. Go to your Stripe Dashboard (link in Shop Dashboard → Payments)
  2. Find the payment you want to refund
  3. Click "Refund" and enter amount
  4. Full or partial refunds available

Refunds typically take 5-10 business days to appear on customer's statement. Note: The original platform fee is also refunded proportionally.

Invoicing & Accounting

Yes! Professional invoices are automatically generated:
  • Your branding: Shop logo (optional), business name, address
  • Swiss format: Compliant with Swiss requirements
  • VAT ready: Shows VAT if you're registered
  • Custom prefix: e.g., "INV" → INV-2024-0001
  • Sequential numbers: Automatic numbering

Download invoices from Dashboard → Orders, or customers can download from their confirmation page.

If your business is VAT-registered in Switzerland:
  1. Go to Dashboard → Payments
  2. Enable "VAT Registered"
  3. Enter your UID number (CHE-123.456.789 MWST)
  4. Set default VAT rate (8.1% standard, 2.6% reduced)
  5. Override per product if needed (e.g., food at 2.6%)

VAT is then calculated and shown on all invoices. If you're not VAT-registered (under CHF 100,000/year revenue), leave this disabled.

Yes! Export orders for Swiss accounting software:
  • Bexio – CSV format with Swiss account codes
  • Abacus – AbaConnect XML format
  • Banana – Tab-separated format
  • Generic CSV – For any other software

Go to Dashboard → Orders, select date range, and click Export. Files include all bookings (revenue, shipping, platform fees) with proper account coding.

Your business address appears on invoices and is required for proper documentation:
  • Legal requirement: Swiss invoices must show seller address
  • Customer trust: Buyers see who they're buying from
  • Returns: Customers know where to send returns

Set this in Dashboard → Payments → Business Address. Use your actual business address – this appears on all customer invoices.

For Buyers

Checkout is quick and secure:
  1. Add items to cart or click "Buy Now"
  2. Enter shipping address
  3. Choose payment method (TWINT, card, Apple Pay, etc.)
  4. Confirm payment

All payments are processed by Stripe – we never see your card details.

Shipping time depends on the seller:
  • Processing: Sellers typically ship within 1-3 business days
  • Transit: Swiss Post A-priority is usually 1-2 days within Switzerland
  • Tracking: Sellers should provide tracking when they ship

Contact the seller directly if your order is delayed. Each shop sets their own shipping policies.

Return policies vary by shop:
  • Check before buying: Each shop sets their own policy
  • Swiss law: Online purchases have 14-day withdrawal right
  • Contact seller: Use their contact info to arrange returns
  • Refunds: Seller processes via Stripe (5-10 days)

If you have issues with a seller, contact us and we'll help mediate.

Look for these trust signals:
  • Verified ID badge – Seller verified their identity
  • Verified Business badge – Professional seller verified by Troovo
  • Complete profile – Logo, description, contact info

  • Secure checkout – Stripe handles all payments

All payments are protected by Stripe's buyer protection. If something goes wrong, you can dispute through your bank/card issuer.
